Visiting any church for the very first time can be an intimidating experience to say the least. We hope to put you at ease so that your first visit to Olcott Bible Church will be refreshing, uplifting, and enjoyable for your entire family.

We want you to experience godly music that will uplift you, Bible teaching and preaching that will challenge you, friendly people that will encourage you, and a place where you will feel welcome and “at home.”

While many are advertising that they are NOT the church of your grandparents, we embrace the “old paths” which were the paths that saw people saved, lives changed and true revival. Our services follow a more conservative, traditional format.

Those that visit Olcott Bible Church can expect it to be what church is supposed to be. We believe that God is the most important audience of every service so we format our songs, teaching, preaching and all other activities to be God honoring.

You will find congregational singing of soul stirring hymns out of a hymn book by people that have a desire to honor their Savior.

The purpose of the song service is to bring glory to God, proclaim the truths of Scripture through song and prepare our hearts for the message.

You will also find an strong emphasis on the preaching and teaching of the God’s Word. Most messages are verse by verse expositions of the Bible with practical applications given throughout. At the end of most services, there is an invitation given as an opportunity to respond to the challenge from God’s Word.

Dress

There is not a set dress code here for members or guests. Most of our church family attire is traditional “Sunday best”, as we believe that God deserves our best. Regardless of what you wear, we want you to feel welcome with God’s people as we meet with the Lord.

Nursery

Families with nursery age children have access to all the nursery essentials including: changing tables, bathroom or private feeding area.  Feel free to choose whether to keep your little one with you or leave them with our loving workers during our services.

Offering

We do not want you, as our guest, to feel any obligation to participate in the offering. We invite you to our services in hopes that you find a warm welcome, a meaningful worship experience, and a helpful message from God’s Word.
